Our Services

Upon arrival at Dallas Veterinary Specialists, our board-certified veterinarian will obtain a complete picture of your pet’s health with a:

  • Comprehensive physical examination
  • Review of the medical history and previous diagnostic results (x-rays, medical histories, CT scans, blood tests, etc.) brought to us or faxed or mailed in advance of the appointment
  • Conversation with you about your animal’s previous experiences or problems

Because there is often more than one contributing, ongoing disease process, medical conditions can range from chronic to severe. Thus our doctor may conclude that further diagnostic tools may be appropriate, some of which may include:

  • Digital radiography
  • Ultrasound
  • Endoscopic/fibro-optic equipment
  • Biopsies
  • Blood work-ups
  • Plasma or blood transfusions

The medical treatment plan and expected outcomes for your pet will be discussed with you in depth prior to any tests, treatment or surgery.

Should it be decided that advanced care is optimal for your animal’s health, you can be assured of:

  • Expert veterinary and nursing care
  • Physical monitoring and tracking of the patient’s condition in support of the treatment plan and to quickly identify any new medical developments
  • Advanced anesthesia monitoring
  • Dedicated Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with overnight capabilities
  • Ongoing assessment and management of pain

In alliance with our core values, we commit ourselves to a three-pronged, team approach:

  • The best specialized care of our patients
  • Respect for our clients
  • Communication with referring veterinarians
