Having been raised in Texas, Louisiana and Virginia, she and her senior grey cat (Sydney) and miniature dachshund (Katie Marie) consider themselves southerners through-and-through and now make their home in Dallas, where Dr. Purcell takes pleasure in cooking and attending outdoor concerts.
Dr. Purcell has had a longstanding relationship with Hillside Veterinary Clinic, having begun her career there in 1996 as a veterinary technician. Since 2011, she has been Hillside's board-certified, internal medicine specialist and will continue in that role at Dallas Veterinary Specialists, advancing her progressive philosophy of veterinary medicine in the care of her patients. Empathy for both animals and their humans is fundamental to Dr. Purcell's convictions.
